Jon McNamara is organising an end of season rugby dinner/fundraiser for CRY – Cardiac Risk in the Young – a charity trying to raise awareness of conditions that can lead to sudden adult death syndrome. Jon’s brother, and fellow ON, Simon McNamara (ON 2001) was only 25 when he died of sudden adult death syndrome after suffering an acute arrhythmia attack whilst on holiday with friends in 2008.
ONs are invited to support this cause by attending the dinner on Saturday 30th April 2011.
Simon Halliday, legendary England centre, is the guest speaker at the event. Neil Highfield, President of Nottingham Moderns RFC, is MC for the evening.
